Dongle Mifie thingy for my ipad?

I know that Sandra (Aldra) accesses the internet using her ipad while abroad with a device that plugs in. I would like to do the same. Can anyone recommend a device for me to plug in to my basic ipad please so that I can go online while in France and Spain?

When in France and Spain for connection to my iPad, phone and kindle I use a mifi unit similar to the one in the link below with a 3data sim, although it's unlocked and will take sims purchased locally. So as long as you can get a mobile signal you're connected.

It's a standalone device that allows several devices to link to it simultaneously via wifi. Just ensure you turn off your devices auto-updates as they'll eat into you data allowance very quickly.

That’s what I use Pat

You can buy the SIM card, I just buy the amount I want, through 3Three, on contract but with a months notice

Ie X amount for Sept and Oct , cancelling it at the end of sept with a months notice

Although they offered me a deal for £8 a month when I cancelled this time so I took it but it’s a fixed contract

+1 for the Huawei mifi, along with 3's 12GB (valid for 1yr) or 24GB data sim (valid for 2yrs). Has served me well so far, on top of my 2GB/mth phone data. B t I don't stream anything.

Tho you should be able to get the 12GB cheaper I think.

I only use when travelling Kev

Other than that I have full internet at home

I buy about £80 a year on two two month trips , never run out

Now for the same about £96 all year coverage , £8 a month

I’m sure it was just because I was cancelling

We’re thinking we might travel a few shorter breaks at home

And anyway we factor in in as a holiday cost

Try EBS Telecoms for 3THREE data SIM. Www.ebstelecoms.co.uk or via amazon

12GB data only with a 12 month validity for under £30

24GB data only with a 24 month validity for £43.50

Only if you have a sim slot, Pat mentioned a "basic iPad" Kev.

Been using a 3 mifi for 6 years now last 2 on the continent, Xmas sale last year they had very good deals if you took a 12 month contract, 20gb per month for £10 per month plus an upfront one off cost of £9.99 for a new mifi. We use it 6 months of the year abroad, Bear in mind under their “Fair Usage Policy” this is restricted to 13gb per month when using abroad. As long as you don’t stream it’s more than enough for several devices connected to internet for emails and social media. Been in Spain for almost 3 months now and signal has always been good, rarely 4G usually 3G but more than fast enough. A big advantage for us over site WiFi is the secure connection especially important for banking etc.
