Toggle SIM admin hopeless.

I really should have put this under Jokes & Trivia but it's no joke.
After a week of trying every suggestion Toggle have said, I still can't buy a SIM.
Multiple attempts have been met at the end of filling all my details with "There is a problem". "Please call 373 from your Toggle mobile".

Ha ha ha, I am still trying to buy a blooming Toggle SIM.
Lots of suggestions like try another browser. Tried four. Send us a screenshot. They say they never receive them. I copy and paste the offending page. Nothing.
Last message was we value your custom and our 'tech' team will get back to you. Ha.

Thankfully never had to get in touch with them. The thing is becoming somewhat irrelevant for me, call rates in the countries in Europe they serve are not competitive , and will be mostly irrelevant from July. I have credit on mine, will Use it in the states when over there soon, but I doubt I will bother to re-load it.

As far as I know, the only motorhoming Oxford United supporter in Felpham.

The saga continues......................................... .. message from Toggle today.

"Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused for the delay in responding to your email.

Further to your SIM order issue, please be informed that our relevant team conformed that the transaction declined by bank. We request you to check with your respective bank."

Utter crap.
First they say it's my browser so I try three others. Then ask for a screenshot of the message. They say they haven't seen it. This gets repeated several times and now they come up with it's my bank. The Credit Card I have been using is in daily use paying for other things.

Hopeless organisation.

Silly question, is your CC a French one and the Toggle only accepting UK or something similar.

Don't be silly all the time ask your question.

But I presume, a French IP address. Maybe it's a bit like the lottery, it knows when you aren't in the UK and won't let you play. How about asking family? to order one in the uk with your CC details?

Could be Malcolm.
I am begging to wonder if I need to deal with Toggle now. Take the easy route.

hi Raynipper
i had toggle on my tab and tried to use it about 4 years ago in France -had a lot of trouble trying to get connected -had to use wireless to contact them and it was a nightmare -eventually got to use it for one week in a 3 week holiday-the problem i suspect was trying to contact them from France - i should still have toggle on my tab but cant get it to work as i haven't used it for a couple off years. I have 3 on my my smartphone now and have used it abroad with no real problems.
best off luck
cheers
chrisdougie

Just remind me Ray, why are you trying to get a Toggle sim anyway now? I am sure you have a good reason but mines a dead duck now really with the roaming charges going.

Mainly Barry cos I am fed up paying £7.20 a month for a UK mobile number just to get the odd code and query from banks and CCs. It has no minutes or data just 2p a min eves and weekends.
I have had my UK mobile number for 30 years and really want to keep it but now they don't give me an upgrade phone and little else I feel the need to change.

But being in France 80% of my time and only use it in UK 10% of our time, Alan suggested a Toggle SIM might be the answer to just top up as and when with only 3p a min calls.
But as Toggle have been hopeless to deal with and are not good for data I'm now looking at any cheaper option that reliable and I can 'port' my old number over to that includes some minutes and data. So far the £4.99 deal I saw above might be the answer. But I'm not convinced they will be around in years to come.
