Further to the above, I have to say both versions I have look pretty much the same. My original truck version is on an old tablet which I rarely go on line with. I suspect if I did put it on line it would update.

According to the Co-Pilot web site the latest truck version is 10.9.0.274. I can find no mention of subscriptions for single users. Are you sure you are not getting confused with the subscripion to "traffic" which is £8.99 a year and which I do not take.

The maps on both are dated 2018, quarter 3 on the caravan version. Not sure what my truck map quarter is. Following a Company re-organisation I understood there is only one version now and they are going to concentrate on the commercial business. I willl have to see how things develop but it looks like unless you are driving a commercial vehicle/large motorhome best find another supplier for cars etc.

I have now got hands on to my truck sat nav, the icon is not a steering wheel as first thought but a white truck on a black background. It is version 10.9.0.723 I have compared Vehicle Routing Profiles, the truck version has one more routing profile than my supposedly caravan version and that is for a caravan! Other than that the user interfaces are much the same.

I'm not sure where you are looking but if you follow the link from the Co Pilot website to the Apple app store you will see that the latest version is 10.11.1.10 and offers "in App purchases" scroll down to the subscription section to find the prices

In-App Purchases
  1. 1 Year of ActiveTraffic™ £9.99
  2. 1 Month Truck Navigation £8.99

The prices are indeed given on the Apple App store but nothing is shown on Google Play.

Co-Pilot (Trimble) have now updated their web site and it shows all the Apps as now only being available only on subscription inclusive of "traffic" Google Play is still not clear on pricing but I suspect you get a free download and trial and then after a couple of weeks get asked for payment? I am not sure why the web site quotes two prices for each App, can anyone shed any light on this? My Co-Pilot Caravan, purchased prior to the changes, is still running fine with all the Euopean maps. My Truck version, also purchase before the changes, is also still running. Whether I will ultimately get a request to pay a subscription or can still update maps remains to be seen. The subscription for the Truck version is now nearly £100 per annum I think that is a bit steep. I remain undecided as to whether this new marketing idea is a good thing or not, neither of my tablets have access to a mobile network so the inclusion of "traffic" in a subsciption is of little use to me unless I use my phone as a hot spot.
