It would not be the first, as I have experienced with other makers, but if you look at the TT forum and if necessary ask a question you will get more accurate information.
Also the Truck Stop and Bus Parking data could not be removed as it is integral to the Map and not loaded as a seperate POI file which you might load yourself.
I have always said that it was MY unit and never ALL, I have related what I experienced.
Your comment about NOT being able to remove the Bus and Lorry info is an excellent example of how the support services give out false info. I still have the reply telling me they could be removed as one of a chain of exchanges.
I was also told that TT had no intention of producing a Camper version - which was actually what I had tried to get hold of when told my current GO Live 1005 could not be repaired when it stopped GPS inputs or reports - something they later admitted was because someone had switched them off when we had renewed Services.
Three weeks after I purchased the ill fated Truvk version they released another Camper version. Even though I had been hold they had no intentions to produce another Camper version and had stopped releasing the older one as it was no longer capable of being supported.
To me, as a simple, but loyal, user it smacked to me of incompetence in the Support section giving out false information.
The items sold should be able to function as sold straight out of the box - there should be no need to have to consult a forum, or the support section to get the thing running - surely being able to find a route from Romsey to NW9 should not require telephone calls and resetting of a brand new machine ? My one required that and was STILL unreliable... note MY ONE. Others may well work well but I am just suggesting that would be purchasers should be aware of such problems - that is what a forum is all about - the exchange of information and experiences, good and bad.
