If the maps are on a SD card then you may have to purchase an updated version from a main dealer.
Alternatively some clever people sell them on eBay at very much reduced prices.

I'm not signing anything.

The two impulses in travel are to get away from home, and the other is to pursue something - a landscape, people, an exotic place. Certainly finding a place that you like or discovering something unusual is a very sustaining thing in travel.

Your usually allowed 1 free update as this allows people to buy older units (new) and bring them up to scratch. I think its usually within 12 months of registering.

They then charge you some ridiculous price for lifetime updates now, last time i looked it was 100 quid. Dont know if its changed now i haven't done mine in quite a few years

Thanks for the info.

I'm trying to find out how you actually update the sat nav that's in the car. I've updated a normal Sat Nav but not one installed in a car. I don't have the vehicle handbook to hand so I might have to wait until I get hold of the vehicle handbook.

Hi Don,

My car has a small panel in the glove compartment that has two slots for SD Cards, one contains the Sat Nav maps and the other for music or whatever.
