Its impossible to link to anything on that website Cabby. The info is great but the website functionality is crap.

I have made it easier though. Link to the latest CC INFOS POI for TomTom

I have put them in a shared folder in Drop box so anyone should be able to download them from there. You will need to download the ZIP file and just right click on it on your desktop or wherever you save it and EXTRACT ALL. That will create a folder with all the TomTom POI in. Then you just need to add them using TomTom home or however your device loads POI.

If the link doesn't work let me know but it should do. It might ask you to sign up to Dropbox but you shouldn't need to.

If you have these installed on a TomTom as I said earlier you don't need to bother entering Lat and Long numbers from the book, just navigate to the POI. Much easier although it can catch you out if there is more than one aire at the location your going to.

No but this one might https://www.dropbox.com/s/tcmj2vvigh...s_asc.zip?dl=0

Its the only other one that CC Infos offer which is in ASCII format. I know nothing about Garmin but I suspect thats the one you need.

Not really being into this, how do you download the info to a Garmin 1340 please?

I've plugged a connector from the computer into the back of the sat nav (power input) and nothing happens, other than it charges it.

One other point, where are you off to this year Barry?

I do not have a Garmin but I am sure I loaded some POI for Tugboat once on a Garmin but cannot remember how I did it but it was straight forward. The above links might help and I also found this https://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/case.faces?caseId={16d895d0-2fe6-11de-76c5-000000000000}

Takes a while to open for some reason

If you cannot get it to work maybe start a new thread about loading POI onto the Garmin

Sorry to hijack the thread, but it is related. Does anyone know if you need to delete the old POIs from TomTom before installing the old file? I know files of the same name will be overwritten, but what about aires that have closed?

Managed to get the POI loader sorted. Downloaded the file that Barry gave, then copied that into a file. Connected sat nav to computer. Then really nothing happened as computer said nothing in file.
Clearly I am doing something stupid but...

I can live without the aires stuff, it would just be an extra toy.
Thank you all though.
