DAF 2 Birth Mobile Library Conversion Motorhome (2000)

Hello!

Sadly due to my Father passing away last year, I've been tasked with selling his retirement project. As a carpenter by trade, he lovingly spent 3 years converting a DAF mobile library into a motorhome with the plan to go off touring around Europe. Sadly cancer had other ideas! The family would love it go to a new home and that all his efforts have gone to make another family happy!

So, he spent £1000's on heating/plumbing, electrics and new windows. Separate bedroom with full-size double bed. Kitchen with sink, oven, 3 ring hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. All new and pretty much untouched. All handcrafted solid wood inside, no chip board rubbish here! Comfortable living/dining area. Cassette toilet and basin. Masses of clever storage compartments. Includes brand new Vango Airaway 380 awning.

It's based in Jersey in the Channel Islands. It's been sat for 6 months or so, so apologies for it looking at bit mucky (and Mum isn't the best photographer!), but nothing that a powerwash wouldn't sort!

Offers over £20k.

Good project but guess it's RHD and obviously HGV for younger license holders.

Looks nice and may well suit someone keen to go full timing around Europe, I hope that you are successful in finding such a purchaser so that your Mum can be reassured it will be lovingly cared for.

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

As the daughter of a master joiner I can appreciate that beautiful work. One of my Dad's last jobs was to put in a similarly-finished kitchen in their new bungalow. Sadly he died just 6 weeks later.

It is RHD. You would need LGV, not HGV licence for this. C1 category. Cost you somewhere between £500-£1000 for lessons and the test I believe.

I'm still living (just) in the past Andrew and have retained my HGV up to now but due to Corona disruption I haven't managed a medical to renew and might not bother now.
