Wanted MH with garage

Hi, i'm new on here so hopefully this is in the right place apologies if not!

As the title says, I am looking to buy a motorhome with a reasonably large garage, I have £18k to spend max.

Needs to fit 2 mountain bikes as standard. I realise that you can get cycle carriers but i'm not keen on having my pride & joy on show to everybody, hence the garage. I have a converted Renault Trafic at the moment but after 6 weeks in France & Spain living out of a cupboard I was starting to go stir crazy!

Other considerations, just the basics really...

Fixed bed
toilet
shower
heating
sink/hob/fridge some kind of table arrangement to sit down & eat
awning

My budget is not huge so I guess it will be a few years old which i'm not too worried about as long as it's mechanically sound, no leaks and the onboard stuff, heating, water etc is all good.

Hope you guys can help, if not maybe you can offer a few tips to help a newbie looking for a deal

Thanks Mick

My initial thoughts are large garages that you want were not available in the years your budget covers. At a guess you might have to increase the budget.

There are plenty out there within your price bracket, here is just one I found by typing “motorhome garage” into Ebay search 👍

Welcome to the forum Mick. What part of the country are you in?

My previous MH was 2007, fitted your description and I would guess might be around your budget now. So they will be out there.

Thanks for that, I should clarify, I have a saved search with all the parameters on ebay, I was thinking that I might get more peace of mind buying from a like minded community like this where perhaps, there is, a little more accountability? And also a little advice on what to steer away from?

Based in Northants, but i've been up to the lakes and down to Guildford in my search so far!

Sorry, my mistake as I had only noticed late ones.

have a look at the Hymer Van 522 - early models around 2006/7 are selling at around £24K at the mo but you might be able to find a deal to negotiate on. we had one of the early ones in 2007 - great van and the garage will take 2 MTBs, plus fixed bed and ticks all your boxes.

and the Lord said unto John "come forth and receive eternal life". but John came fifth and won a toaster........
