Red face Highlands to develop a network of motorhome stopovers

Motorhome stopover facilities could be created in the Scottish Highlands after councillors agreed to the support their development.

Highland Council's tourism committee have agreed to support a network of stopovers with motorhome facilities in response to growing concerns over the pressure that so-called staycations are placing on the region's tourism infrastructure.

Hopefully as soon as they have been built the staycations will have collapsed and we might be able to use them.
