Do not trust site reviews
Having returned from multi-location trip in UK, using on this occasion new to me sites, which had fair to good reviews on a popular club site, I am left wondering what sort of squalid alternative dimension some of the reviewers live in for the rest of the year when the describe a location as perfect, scenic and will definately be back?........are they all deaf and therefore unable to hear the motorway traffic, nose blind and unable to smell the toilet block from 200 metres and so tolerant that rampaging and drunken youth groups regularly misbehaving at 2am in the morning is acceptable.
Other half reckons I am just getting grumpy with advancing years, but as site fees appear to be increasing with no corresponding improvement in facilities I feel more inclined to go the wild camping route rather accept the current offerings.
So please, if you do provide regular feedback on sites, be honest, the wardens will not do anything if all they hear are meek 'yes it was fine' comments.
