Excellent video about what is needed.

I came across this blog by the Laws and was VERY impressed by its clarity, it covers the people, the motorhome and taking U.K. registered dogs to France this month;

Well worth watching IMO.

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

Yes very explanatory Dave. Now all we need is another similar video describing all the hoops and hurdles we need to get INTO UK. It's a constantly changing minefield as I am finding out.

One thing she says in that video is that you have to book your test (the one for 2 days after your return) before you go in order to have the code you need to fill in the locator form on returning.

I think that's probably not the case (I hope not cos it took some time for hers to arrive.)

I suspect when you order (say online before getting the ferry home) that they will give you the necessary code in their email to confirm purchase. Anyone have any firm knowledge of that?

I think, for me, I will wait till a couple of weeks before my return to order the day 2 PCR test - who knows what the regulations might be then. I read on the order site that you get an email with the number required for your locator form.

If you ave to fill in the locator form before you go into the U.K., what happens if anything changes ?

Don't understand your question Dave.

If I buy it now I will have the number for the locator form or whatever is required then and the test will sit at home for a couple of months. If I wait, it may just be that the test is no longer required. If it is then I apply online, get the number for the locator form and the test is hopefully waiting for me when I get home.

I heard that on the 15th. of this month the regs were going to be reviewed again. Now we have lost the first £48.

Still watching it but had to post this but about passports. I have heard that the passport must have six months to run since "date of issue" which might be different from the normal date the passport runs from and to.

No mention of how you prove certain things like bank balance without a smart phone.

Good idea on the fish based dog food!

Spare driving glasses. Are they still needed?

Nobivac rabies vaccination lasts 3 years so does this mean the French are ignoring the manufacturers statement?

Take a photo of test results with no smartphone?

Not sure how we will feel after all our current difficulties are, hopefully, finished but at the moment it all looks too onerous a task for us to travel to France. Is the entry into Spain as difficult does anyone know? Will the Spanish be as officious as we know the French can be?
