Goodwood Festival of Speed - to 14th July

watch out this weekend, it's usually quite busy round Chichester anyway, but with good weather forecast and the Festival -see here - there's bound to be delays. The A27 round Chichester (especially on the Wittering turn off as people head to West Wittering beach), the A285 from Petworth and A286 from Midhurst will be best avoided in the mornings and evenings.

They have just sold at the Bonhams auction at the festival the 1954 winning grand prix car driven by Farngio the Mercedes Benz "Silver Arro" for £17.5 million. Unbloody real it is just a car....

Brian l love you for eternity you are my rock and my life there will never be anyone like you or who could take your place.

I'd pay that for a 1930's Auto Union "Silver Arrow"...........If I had it.

As you say it is only a car, it is only money too, I watch a lot of car type progs on TV and invariably the type of person who has that kind of money also gives huge amounts to charity, Chris Evans for one, I'd much rather there were people who were minted spending it and giving it away, than hiding it in some bank vault.
