DVLC wasters.

Five years ago I imported my Hobby to France. Filled in the necessary 'export' part of the V5 or SORN doc and sent off to DVLC. Got an acknowledgement and proceeded to register the van in France.

Last month after five year the DVLC have sent me a "Last Chance' to tax or SORN or be fined £80 or even have the van crushed if I don't.

FIVE YEARS..?????

Ray.

And you are surprised Ray????

Hang on a minute though - does that mean we need not tax our vans again until we get the final warning notice in 2018?? Sounds like it if you can avoid all the penalties just by re-taxing it!!

Everyone likes me till they find out i'm broke.

Just sold two old CRT TVs to friends that were headed for the dump. Called recycling....

I like you Ray, even though you are broke.

Mind you, if you parked your van outside my house, I would probably crush it too.

I've got an onrunning saga with them, according to them they haven't been notified that I've got rid of the previous van, they have been told THREE times, I now have 2 weeks to pay a £35 fine

Their robotic telephone system is unbeatable

A visit to the local dvla was a waste, they can't even speak to anyone there.

WARNING.!!... The above post may contain an opinion

Academia and government artificially select for particular traits, among which is a lack of life experience. This is why it's possible for a person to be exceptionally bright while failing to grasp something as rudimentary as supply and demand.

Intellectuals: All engine, no map.

It it were me Ray I would just ignore them.

I once had repeated tax demands for Nil. Threatening letters about all the nasty things they would do unless I paid Nil and eventually a threat that they would distrain my goods unless I paid Nil, Alan.
