Importing Motorhome Into UK

I have recently returned to live in the UK having spent many years in France. I have brought with me my Burstner Aviano motorhome and I now need to get it put on UK plates and to obtain an MOT.
I live near to Newcasle Emlyn. Can anyone recommend a garage in my area that can perform the necessary VOSA checks and MOT?

Just to give you a bump and cos I'm interested. What made you return to UK please?
Did you not have an ideal lifestyle in France or is Geordie land calling?

Now we got the geography sorted, I can respond. We bought our motorhome in Camarthen and, looking at the MOT that was supplied at the time. it was MOTd by:

Carling Commercials
BRS Yard
Alltycnap Road
Johnstown
Camarthen SA31 3NE

Telephone 01267 220 565

They did a thorough check because they found brake problems that hadn't been evident on a test drive. The work was then done by a Renault Trucks dealer in Swansea before being tested again by Carling Commercials.

Always happy to help,

Colin

Ray - "Newcastle" is as common in the UK as "Chateauneuf" in France.

There is only one "Geordie" Newcastle and it isn't Emlyn or under Lyme.
