I don't know about the suitability of that model but personally I wouldn't have a cover because
1. It would prevent the solar panel feeding the batteries to support my alarm and
2. It would risk scratches to bodywork either in the putting on/off or with wind while on.

Also, would you have access to the MH without taking the whole thing off?

Is there a particular reason you feel you need one?
