leaking water pipe on a 1991 2.0 fiat ducato

Hi to everyone. We have a delightful 1991 Fiat Ducato Highwayman with a 2.0l petrol engine. About a year ago a water leak started where the pipe goes into the head of the engine. This is a small pipe to the right of the carburettor and has a couple of hoses and a water sensor attached. The pipe was badly corroded and a new one was made up by a mechanic but has failed. I contacted Fiat and they quoted a part number 915 395 1480 but said it was no longer available. I am faced with trying to find a secondhand one, or having another one made again. Is this a common problem, has anyone experienced a similar issue or does anyone have an idea or a suggestion as to what to do. The motor itself is great.

I seem to remember this problem from years ago. I think it was a short concertina rubber hose that almost needs the head removed to renew it or very dextrous fingers.

I suspect the OP has sorted the problem by now but it is item 5 on the link https://fiat-pro.7zap.com/en/d90/nd/...0402s02+2-0/#9

It is amazing what you find if you search the forum. I contributed to a post on this same topic back in 2014 and have no recollection of ever doing so??

Thanks ray that explains it all. But I do remember another engine where a small concertina hose caused trouble and was very difficult to access. Maybe a Chrysler.
