No one has yet mentioned the possible overloading of the rear axlles Permitted weight due to the leverage effect caused by the distance between the axle and tow-bar. Plus the tow bar is clearly a home made job and therefore itís structural strength and integrity is totally unknown. (Thatís why all tow bars now must have type approval);
I wouldnít risk it, the consequences of the towbar failing on a busy motorway and the scooter dropping onto the road at 60mph in front of following traffic doesnít bear thinking about.
Its not the destination that matters.
It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, itís in a caravan!)
