Special lorry wiper blades?

When I had huge problems with my wipers my dealer tried to get special HGV wiper blades that were made to act as if they had the old-fashioned wind fins we used to be able to attach to the wiper arm to make the wiper have better contact with the screen.

I hope that makes sense!

Anyway, they came back and said they weren't made in my size - 26 and 28".

Does anyone know what these wipers would be called?

Not sure about the 'HGV' specific blades but you can still buy the attachable fins for existing blade arms.

Bosch also have a design variation from their standard blades called Aerotwin that includes 28" & 26" blades.

Thanks Terry, fins ordered! The wipers come up as not suitable for my vehicle, tho would the arms be swapped out when it's an A-class?

I had bought a set of flatblades but they were no improvement on the driver's (LHD) side.

Ray.
No, the wipers have never done a great job, particularly on the driver's side (LHD).

It's better than it was (on its 3rd wiper) but there's still an area right in my line of sight that clears on the upward stroke but leaves a mist on the downward stroke. Enough to be tiring on a longish journey in the rain.

Is it not worth just changing the rubbers?

Ted.
I try and state simple facts in a nice way.

Unsure of the A-Class query Jean.

The last Bosch ones I bought came with several connection bits to fit differing arms, maybe worth taking a pic of the arm connection on your bus and asking at the likes of Halfords.
