Sorry people, I decided it was better if I remove the information I put on this thread a little while ago.

Don't worry there are no conspiracies just me deciding it was better to do so.

Thanks for your tolerance.

Regards

Chris

Very sorry to hear that news Chris.
You were right it WAS an eyeopener and alcohol IS a poison even if we enjoy it occasionally.......as I said moderation is a word that some people just do not understand.
All my sympathies to you and your family.

Aggression

Hello Chris,

Certainly no aggression or suggestion I can or indded do drink to excess from me. Though in reading it on the forum here, I can see how it may come accross.

I was simply giving my response to your post regarding the program. One of a great number of biased shows that are aired on TV and Radio of late.

I am very sorry to hear of your losses, I have had my unfair share of those and point out that I am not ignorant of the results of excess drinking. Again, not something I stated or suggested I do.

I like a drink, I do not as such like the idea of us, that do partake in alcholic beverages, like yourself, to be frowned upon as social outcasts. Similar to that what smokers suffer. Programs like the one you mention just enforce non drinkers views that anyone who does like beer, wines or spirits is a Binge Drinking Drunken Fool. In addition, children could be led to believe (or rather brainwashed) into the wrong opinions on what might become the "A" word.

As one or two others have suggested, Balance and moderation.

I await my posts to be quoted and ripped apart by our English Teacher.

Maybe I should stick to asking and answering technical questions in the future.

Hi Lynda,

Many thanks for your thoughts.

Hi Trev,

Did not mean to come over strongly, it just seemed that I had pointed out an interesting programme and got what I saw as an odd response.

As it happens I am also sat here with my normal tipple of red wine. I may have mentioned before that Claire and I go to France a few times a year with the major purpose of bringing back a shed load of wine! Oh and visiting our favourite restaurant!

I am aware that as drinkers of over a bottle a night we are probably over the top. But I am also aware that a couple of glasses of red wine are particularly good for you every day. So we do our best to keep our end up

Think it better if I go and remove a few lines from my previous thread!

Regards

Chris

Problems None

Chris,

No worries.

Yes I read your post on the tour and the Restaurant in the Mountains (hills) with great interest.

Enjoy the red.
