Why can't you grow some mint Jan? It's very tolerant, I grow some in the garden constrained by a pot with the bottom cut off, stops it taking over the whole garden
raynipper and JanHank like this.

Before you criticise someone walk a mile in their shoes, that way you are a mile away and have their shoes too

😃 We don't have any dirt to start with Kay, our garden is covered in ground up rubbish from a depot. It took us ages to clear the top of glass and if we dug a hole we would dig up glass. It's a long story, all we can grow is grass (and plenty of weeds) and even that needs fertilizer. Other than that, things in pots need looking after

Mint will grow well in a tub or trough and be contained. Maybe even a little herb trough?

Ray.

The FSA licensed a twice convicted fraudster to handle our lifeīs savings. Guess what? He robbed us of £750,000. http://raynipper.com

Don't want anything for other people to look after when we are not here Ray.

Mint v fruit flies and spiders

I have just read the smell of mint keeps them away, so no fruit flies in Flints kitchen.
I must get some mint essence because I will probably forget to water the plant.

I don't. I don't like any hint of the taste of mint in my food.
