A beer thread.

I know we used to contribute when Ralph Dot began one years ago, I can't find it so I,m starting another.

It doesn't have to be beer, what's your tipple? I maybe should have called it an alcohol thread not beer.

Any beer enthusiasts on here, now I don't drink a lot but do like a nice beer.

Currently I am partaking of Timothy Taylors Boltmaker, its a lovely drop of stuff.

I was also partial to a stout called Darkness whilst we were on holiday last week in Devon.

Any other recommendations for a nice drink, either at home or in the pub.

I,m a real ale fan but also like a nice stout, I prefer dark beers I don't like the pale stuff in the main.

Come on what's your tipple, please tell I don't like drinking on my own.
Glandwr and Glandwr like this.

Beer to me is continental, the stuff in the UK is either Ale or Pish poor stuff some call lager. Leffe Blomde I love and just about anything in Germany or Austria is just excellent. Wiesbeer and some Bavarian stuff I discovered over the last month in Germany was fantastic. Cheap as chips as well. Some of the stuff I was getting from lidl was three quid for six 500ml bottles with 1.50 back if you can be bothered to return the empties and stick em in the machine. Why is beer so expensive back home, especially continental beer?

I have to watch how many I have now as it can give me gout so I've been quaffing vodka applesaf and lemonaid cocktails

We loved the German stuff when we toured extensively there, in fact I still have 2 beer crates which I bought there to stack them in the garage.

Penny Markt we used to like going, really cheap we found.

Its because UK is a rip off that's why.

The best I can get here is 4 Becks for a six quid, I have just cracked one open now.

I am drinking it out of leffe glass too.

There's some cracking small breweries over here Barry, don't dismiss them, in fact there is now one in Barnard castle.

LARGER we dont have lager here, its pils comonly known as bier.

The best bier/beer comes from Slovakia, Zlaty Bazant, translated Golden Pheasant, 2 cans of that and even Barries music sounds pleasant.
