Amazon Scam

Missed call from Poland early this morning and hour or so latter a call from an English number with an Indian lady advising me of suspicious activity regarding purchase of an IPhone and IPad from my Amazon account. Assured the lady that it’s not my purchase and don’t proceed.
She then tried to get me to log into my laptop, on informing her I only ever really use my phone or tablet now she was quite adamant, I advised her that I was recording the call and to cancel any order she sees on my account as I see none.

Just had the Poland call again, automated call to tell me that a purchase had been noted.
Did a Google search and found this, take care folks.

We had the Macafee Anti Virus scam last week - asking us to switch on our PC - but when I'd had a chat with him, asked where he was (New York apparently), discussed the weather, told him the throppleganger on the PC was playing up and it would be a few minutes before the PC warmed up, how long a shift he was doing that day and if the Stock Market was holding up well in America he put the phone down on me - and hasn't called back since.

What you do when you're bored .......

Typical copper, why not try being a little more polite next time and pose it as a question such as 'Why don't you **** ***?'

We get them regularly

Plus from Amazon prime who are about to renew our subscription for £89 a month

Along with BT who are switching off our internet

And Microsoft who have discovered a fault on our computer

The latest a buzzer link to call for help when I fall

When I need that Iíll contact the NHS and get a care link for virtually nothing

We really need to get rid of the land line as all we get now are nuisance phone calls and an unwanted walk to answer it

Most annoying to a dead phone on automatic dial, if Iím upstairs I donít even bother ,no chance Iíll get there before it rings off

I have a I phone but never use it

I think Iím going to have too get used to it

Everyone uses Alberts phone anyway
