Carma?

35 mourners have been crushed to death and 45 injured at the funeral of the Iranian Martyr.

Ray.

The FSA licensed a twice convicted fraudster to handle our life´s savings. Guess what? He robbed us of £750,000. http://raynipper.com

Definitely not Karma! It's a Hindu/Buddhist belief, not an Islamic one. Presumably you are joking anyway?

Infamy, infamy! They've all got it in for me!

I did put a question mark. Now up to 40 dead and over 200 injured.
This seems to happen on a regular basis when various Arabic nations hold large gatherings. Is it doe to lack of H&S or the Arab temperament.?

Idling the time away I looked up stampede deaths on google:
"In the year 66 AD , at around the beginning of the First Roman–Jewish War, a Roman soldier mooned Jewish pilgrims at the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem who had gathered for Passover, and "spake such words as you might expect upon such a posture" causing a riot in which youths threw stones at the soldiers, who then called in reinforcements – the pilgrims panicked, and the ensuing stampede resulted in the death of ten thousand Jews".

I worked in Saudi Arabia for a couple of years and know from my time there that is true that Arabic gatherings can lead to a large loss of life, an Arab queue is always 50 wide and one deep but it is by no means limited to them. Hillsborough is an example closer to home where large gatherings of people can lead to tragedy. The largest in the 18th Century both took place in France.

Thanks ray. Try boarding a Cyprus Air flight. The fittest get on first.
Come to think of it getting on a bus in UK was always an orderly affair. But not recently and maybe we might see some crushing soon.

H&S is peculiar to the UK, think about Doha where ??? have been killed while building the football stadia for the World Cup, the weather forecasts NEVER go above 47C due to the Law which allows workers to stop if the temperature is over 50C, which as I am sure you were aware, is not uncommon......

I found that in Qatar during my time there.....

Arab temperament does require pushing forward so they can get closer to whatever it is, such crushes are not uncommon and little attempts are made to prevent, many are caused by groups from different directions suddenly merging and that causes problems....

So, while the individual deaths sadden me, it is fairly inevitable when groups of that size occur. He was a well known figure and has been elevated to Martyrdom which will bite back against the USA.

Little consideration seems to be given to the inevitability of such things by those in charge....
patp and raynipper like this.

Thinking of ALL the front line staff working to try to help others;Doctors, nurses, paramedics, cleaners, NA's, catering staff, support services and all others. Their work is appreciated more than you can ever realise-keep strong and safe.

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Remember Jo Cox and what she stood for.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.
