RV parks stateside are often right beside the attractions. You would be amazed at some of the places RV parks are.

I agree Ray. I have always thought that they are more suitable/designed for the US and such places then the UK for general touring. But each to their own.

We looked at a few, once, that were on a rally at Stratford racecourse. Had a chat with the owners who, of course, were very proud of their big beasties. It emerged, though, that there were very few places other than the one they were on that could cater for them. They spent a long time finding sites which were often nowhere near where they wanted to be.

I loved the toilet! Didn't see any dishwashers. Why not? It is my biggest bugbear when away in the van. Sod the washing machine, that some fit in, because you only need it occasionally. Washing cups up after every cup of tea or coffee and then the breakfast, lunch and dinner washing up is time and water consuming.

Yes Pat we had to stop Jo Public at shows from just walking into our RV thinking they were display motorhomes. Bluddy cheek.
A real shower is a must for me. Monaco was the only place we had trouble parking. Plod objected when we stopped at the coach stop outside the casino.

How rude of them!

We get a bit of it, now, with the fifth wheel. Funnily enough the Spanish are very enthusiastic though always polite. I mentioned this to the lovely people who make them and they said they get very few enquiries from the Spanish. They are going down really well in Germany and I think that I am right in saying that they have gone into partnership with a German company to sell them over there.

Only high end cars there now Ray, no showers in a Ferrari, although a guy where we used to live had a Porsche with a swimming pool. AKA a leaking back window his dealer couldn’t fix, so he parked up outside his showroom with large placards stating what he thought of Porsche and the dealer.
