I can´t edit its too late. Here are the German words and translation into English, not the words we sing, I think the German wording is what they still sing now.

Complete lyrics

1. Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht!
Alles schläft; einsam wacht
Nur das traute heilige Paar.
Holder Knab im lockigten Haar,
Schlafe in himmlischer Ruh!
Schlafe in himmlischer Ruh!

2. Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht!
Gottes Sohn, o wie lacht
Lieb´ aus deinem göttlichen
Mund,
Da schlägt uns die rettende
Stund.
Jesus in deiner Geburt!
Jesus in deiner Geburt!

3. Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht!
Die der Welt Heil gebracht,
Aus des Himmels goldenen Höhn
Uns der Gnaden Fülle läßt sehn:
Jesum in Menschengestalt,
Jesum in Menschengestalt

4. Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht!
Wo sich heut alle Macht
Väterlicher Liebe ergoß
Und als Bruder huldvoll
umschloß
Jesus die Völker der Welt,
Jesus die Völker der Welt.

5. Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht!
Lange schon uns bedacht,
Als der Herr vom Grimme befreit
In der Väter urgrauer Zeit
Aller Welt Schonung verhieß,
Aller Welt Schonung verhieß.

6. Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht!
Hirten erst kundgemacht
Durch der Engel Alleluja,
Tönt es laut bei Ferne und Nah:
Jesus der Retter ist da!
Jesus der Retter ist da!

English translation
1. Silent night! Holy night!
All's asleep, one sole light,
Just the faithful and holy pair,
Lovely boy-child with curly hair,
Sleep in heavenly peace!
Sleep in heavenly peace!

2. Silent night! Holy night!
God's Son laughs, o how bright.
Love from your holy lips shines
clear,
As the dawn of salvation draws
near,
Jesus, Lord, with your birth!
Jesus, Lord, with your birth!

3. Silent night! Holy night!
Brought the world peace tonight,
From the heavens' golden height
Shows the grace of His holy might
Jesus, as man on this earth!
Jesus, as man on this earth!

4. Silent night! holy night!
Where today all the might
Of His fatherly love us graced
And then Jesus, as brother
embraced.
All the peoples on earth!
All the peoples on earth!

5. Silent night! Holy night!
Long we hoped that He might,
As our Lord, free us of wrath,
Since times of our fathers He
hath
Promised to spare all mankind!
Promised to spare all mankind!

6. Silent night! Holy night!
Shepherds first see the sight.
Told by angelic Alleluja,
Sounding everywhere, both
near and far:
"Christ the Saviour is here!"
"Christ the Saviour is here!"

It would be interesting if this could be played.

Well this wont do my Rock n Roll street cred much good but that was amazing, loved it. What sets it apart from the millions of covers of this song is the carefully thought out harmony arrangements mainly in the second half and towards the end of the track. Some real thought was put into that. Excellent.

Brilliant! Thats pretty brave doing an online set for over an hour! I guess they are pros though. My fingers would be bleeding playing acoustic that long. Dont think I would ever dare play live on FB. I have a pal that does it usually in the middle of the night when he is off his face. He's a pretty good guitarist but a worse singer than me! :D I dont know how they remember so many songs. I used to have about twenty or so I could play off the top of my head but I struggle to remember what I learned yesterday now.

As regards the song a day challenge. I thought it was quite a task, they are doing great though. Recording stuff and getting it right at that level especially the kind of stuff they are doing is no easy task.

Dunno if they are fans but I would love to hear them do either of these.

Or a proper curve ball from Nashville. This always gives me goosepimples. I think they would do a superb job of either of those.

I did a collab with my mad Rock chick singer "Mrs Brown" of that one.

Came in from working in the shed to find this guitar hanging on the wall where my old Yamaha should be . " Don't touch " came the shout from Zolene. Turned out it's a £4500 Lowden guitar she had borrowed for a video shoot. Doesn't look like much but boy does it sound good , you'll hear it in the next Xmas video.

Wow! Ive never had a decent acoustic guitar really. I think I paid about £300-400 for my tanglewood which I broke (Twice). Dunno if I could ever justify that much for a guitar though. look forward to hearing it. I do know recording acoustic guitars properly is hard though. Well it is with my gear.
