Music Festivals 2014

We're doing The Acoustic Festival of Britain and Linton Blues plus a couple more this year.

Any suggestions for the other two please?

Green Man festival in Crickhowell, we went last year, it was our first festival and I loved it and will be going again, the location is superb and the atmosphere is very chilled and laid back

I had always wanted to go to Glastonbury but now know I couldn't do that, it's just too big with too many people

Before you criticise someone walk a mile in their shoes, that way you are a mile away and have their shoes too

There is only one Festival to be at this year! Oh Yes!

We attended the Twinwood Festival (Glenn Miller and 1940's music). We enjoyed it so much, we are going back and may camp there this year

We stayed on site in the motorhome, there's a dedicated field for live in vehicles. There is a 7m length restriction because of difficulties getting out if the weather is bad and the field turns muddy but they don't strictly enforce it (we're 7.5m), "at your own risk" I was told.

August 14th to 17th this year. We were able to get there at opening time on day one so got a good parking spot. There's a pub down the road that allows overnight stays for MHs so that's an alternative but I think you'd miss out on some of the festival atmosphere

If you want any more info drop me a pm and I'll give you my mobile number

We're booked for Beverley folk festival, at the racecourse. Will most likely go to moonbeams at Wold Top brewery too.

Cheers folks. We are hopefully "abroad" late July/August so GM is out (we're 7.7m also!) We've done Cropredy before and recognise it's charms. Beverley is a shade to far with us still having work commitments!
There are a couple of blues festivals local to us so they may get a shout.

Roll on 2015 when we don't have to consider w*rk!

we're off to Glasto this year for the 1st time - at the tender age of 61

always been other things going on in our lives that prevented us before but we decided to tick this one off the bucket list for this year.

yes, it's big but unless we do it, we won't know if we'll enjoy it or not...

and the Lord said unto John "come forth and receive eternal life". but John came fifth and won a toaster........
