Towersey Village Festival in Oxfordshire - absolutely brilliant. It's over August Bank Holiday - we've been going for over 25 years and this year is the 50th anniversary.

Sidmouth Folk Festival

Sidmouth Folk Festival in Devon is a good week, lovely sea side town and plenty going on in the town and along sea front. Several sessions in pub's and clubs if you play or just enjoy listening. Check out their web site.

There's also festival no. 6 based in Port Meirion, North Wales, It's the first week in September

Another superb location. I haven't been but may give this one a try although probably not this year

Before you criticise someone walk a mile in their shoes, that way you are a mile away and have their shoes too

I'm going up in the MH to the Outer Hebrides to attend Heb Celt Fest in July. Calmac are sorting out the crossings and I am very excited

I see Big Country are headlining that one. Albeit sadly without Stuart Adamson.

They were one of the best live bands I ever saw.

A nice list is coming along here!

If we get a weekend in between shows this year I'll pop back to this and see what's on.

I myself fancy Glastonbudget, which seems relatively inexpensive and quite possibly a good laugh.

Nice list indeed! Most that are coming up we can't do the dates but certainly helps for future years.

Here are the links to the two we have booked.

I was at the Galtres music festival, Helmsley, North Yorkshire last year for the first time. Not a bad little festival, family orientated. They had a good selection of acts, The Stranglers, The Undertones,Reef, Lloyd Cole etc etc. The best part, for me, was the beer tent Over 100 ales, ciders, lagers and stouts on tap. I was pushed to keep myself occupied and interested for 3and a half days, Glastonbury it ain't.
I'm thinking of trying Budapest this coming August. Have read some very good write ups about it.
Nick.
