Truma 2400 - Isn't that a heater??

http://www.truma.com/au/en/heating/trumatic-e-2400.php

Do you mean the Aventa 2400w model?

http://www.truma.com/int/en/air-cond...ta-comfort.php

We have a Dometic 2200 - was fitted to the van when we bought it and worked fine when in Spain last September to keep the interior nice and cool during the day.

Too noisy for use at night though...

Cheers

Dave

Good afternoon,

We've fitted a few Truma Aventa Comforts and found them to be excellent appliances, lightweight, quiet, well made and sit lower than Dometic alternatives; so a thumbs up from us.

Regards,
Chris

Good afternoon mamndadto3,

The Aventa Comfort is advertised as being suitable for motorhomes up to 7.5m in length, how long is your Kontiki?

Manufacturers don't specify temperate reductions for these appliances and only advertise suitable lengths; there are numerous factors which will affect performance such as length, ambient external temperate, ambient internal temperature and whether the motorhome is in shade, or if the blinds are closed will all affect the reduction in temperature.

The Dometic Freshlight 2200 is a popular alternative and was advertised as being suitable for motorhomes with a length of up to 7m. The Freshlight was popular because you didn't lose the light entering from a rooflight and as they didn't make a 2600 variant we have many customers who have fitted these in longer motorhomes without issue.

Regards,
Chris

Hi,
We ordered our motorhome with a Dometic B2200 Freshjet on the roof as we had good experiences with the B2200 fitted on the last 2 caravans.

We ended up with a Truma Comfort air conditioning unit on the roof and must say its very good, easy to operate and the lighting on it is pleasant at night.

Regards

Andy

I have a Truma Aventa fitted to my 6.5m van and I find it very good and effective, I have never used the heat function so cannot comment on that.
