Need or want an electric bike

Just had a week away in Brighton and did several miles of cycling, I think as we rode up the cliff from the marina to the C&MC campsite Karen realised that I cannot manage manual pedaling any more, she does push me to exercise but there come a point where it is no longer viable for me to do it manually and so agreed that an electric cycle could be an advantage for me.
Looking for an electric bike, don't need top of the range but just something to get me about on the few occasions we cycle, maybe a conversion of me Carrera could be a solution, looking for your advice!

I've had a ProRider Wayfarer for around 10 years and love it. It's used more or less every day and lives outside. I've had no problems with it. It folds and fits in the van garage but they do a whole range: https://www.proriderleisure.com/bike.html

Mrs Eb has an AS foldable, She loves hers. https://www.asbikes.co.uk

Neither was expensive.

Take care with Panda ebikes, really mixed reviews regarding them, their main website is suspended and poor comments on their FB site !

Yes I noticed that and read the reviews so I wont be using them.
Looking at a Swytch kit for my existing bike as it's less than 2 years old and hardly used so not worth buying a complete bike.

I hope it will sort out your pedal power Flint so you can enjoy a cycle ride instead of enduring it.

Me too Jan, I am OK on the level but will use the extra power when going uphill which tires me out very quickly also last week in Brighton we cycled down to Saltdean via Rottingdean, ok cycling down but on the way back with a strong wind in the face I struggled, got to the hill up to the caravan park and that was it, had to sit down for 20 mins to recover.

Would be interested in some feedback regarding performance and distance achievable on battery when you have it delivered, fitted and in use.
