Tour de France 2016

The route has been announced, however it is in the Official Programme book only, available at all good bookshops or order, Not available on line at present.

I personally can recommend getting the souvenir book, lots of extras inside

jo662 and jo662 like this.

WARNING.!!... The above post may contain an opinion

Academia and government artificially select for particular traits, among which is a lack of life experience. This is why it's possible for a person to be exceptionally bright while failing to grasp something as rudimentary as supply and demand.

Intellectuals: All engine, no map.

Obviously I need to qualify my post

The "route" has been available for 6 months however the route "detailed stages" are not on line at the moment merely in printed format in the official book.

I looked at the route ages ago. That link by Mike has been around for a while now.

Lac De Payolle in the Pyrenees would be a good spot. I bet it will be stacked out with vans. Loads of space down there.

We have known the detailed local route well before the end of the year. When they start resurfacing roads its a dead giveaway. And in Andorra we dont have too many roads anyway...when you know which cols they are using, you know the route.
We have never been in the camping car before though , no real need when it almost passes your house. This year we are escorting friends in their inaugural camping car trip, France to Andorra and back. A week to do an 8 hour drive. Nuts.

well at least I now know that it s coming nowhere near here - which will save traffic chaos as we have had before....

If the current strikes continue, going by bike may be the only way around France - but not at that speed, they don't even stop for a beer at nice views.....

and where do they pick up their croissants?

Nah, not for me, I'll stick to gentle toddles on my bike

Dave

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

I flipping well loved it when it came here. We have always managed to miss it in France by a week or so either side but have certainly been up and around most of the routes.

Would love to eventually catch it in its native country and enjoy the throng there.

Its certainly getting tempting. Too much going on here at the moment to think about it.
