Multi Billion Pound Sport,Global, making the rules up as they go along absolutely outrageous.

I have to say it's all getting a bit tiresome I'm finding it difficult to keep my enthusiasm up and dare I admit to falling asleep when watching some races/prossesions.

Well thankfully Suzi Perry isn't around any more either.

I quite liked Suzi - but do agree that now, with my limited (age related) attention span, the highlights version of F1 is probably sufficient.

I just now finished watching the Thursday special (on catchup) with Guy Martin and DC - I like both guys anyway and I ride a bike and love my cars - so what was not to like?

Brilliant!

I think they seemed to get on too - although cast from very different moulds.

Cheers

Dave

BBC R4 did it's usual trick at 9:06 yesterday morning - without any warning or preamble just announced that >>>> <<<<<<<* had won the Australian GP.

* Just in case anyone hasn't yet watched all the highlights.

And why not?

I think R5 did live commentary, but that was the BBC's total involvement the F1 now.

I am sure that the other BBC TV and radio channels, ITV news, C5 news, Sky News, CNN, EuroNews and many other sources also gave the result as well, before C4 showed the highlights; but I don't know as I deliberdately avoided all possible sources of having my viewing of the highlights on C4 ruined. What do you want them all to do, keep quiet all week in case someone hasn't watched their recording of the race yet?

Surely the onus is on YOU to avoid any possible chance of hearing the result before YOU watch the race. Yet another example of the modern 'blame culture' rather than accepting the consequences of your own actions

Maybe you should put in a compensation claim to the BBC?

My point is that they don't (and don't dare) do it with the likes of football results - "if you don't want to know the result.......etc".

The BBC also used to do it when they were the broadcaster of the highlights and therefore did have an interest in not spilling the beans before the broadcast.

Bit of a yawn fest now, I used to watch F1 religiously, but now I don't bother, just subscribe to Joe Saward's GP+ magazine.

After all the 'Huff and Puff' from the BBC, they still sent a Radio5 team and other journo's to the race, then put the sound only bits on their website. Who is going to want to listen?

Shame really, the BBC did it pretty well, and Suzi was OK.

All those who watch it on RTL and don't speak German?

It makes an excellent "simulcast" (remember them)?

Help someone out when they're in trouble and they'll remember you when they're in trouble again.
