If you're up in deepest Scotland then the CC site at Altnaharra is really nice. Right on Loch Naver. It's an interesting drive to get there as the 'A' roads are really just single track with passing places, but everyone's very considerate.

C&CC Moffat has a fishery just behind it, suffering a bit from weed at the moment but the guy running it is tackling the problem.
CC Killin, free fishing on the River Lochay which leads into Loch Tay, some good brown trout taken from the bank which runs along the whole of the site.

Good luck

Dave

Hey up.

If you are up for it you can get some big carp out on the fly rod down on the lakes at our site.. Touring field over the road with water, grey and black water dump and EHU,

Some have made flies that resemble dog biscuits, but I just use dog biscuits bait banded on, had carp to 18 lb and sometimes 20 fish over the day with a combine weight over 200lb..

ray.

An old cowboy died and left his ranch to his three boys. They named the ranch "Focus", because it's where the sons raise meat. .. . . ray......

Hey all, Does anyone know of any CC or CCC, CL sites or other sites nearer to the South East of England which have access (within walking distance) to fly fishing (trout) nearby please. This is one of my passions and it is hard to find these sites within a walk away from a river or lake with trout in. Cheers

I course fish and use this site a lot:

There are various filters one being for sites with fishing although it does not distinguish which type of fish.

Hi Dave and welcome to the forum.

First of all I must apologise for not having the knowledge of fly fishing in the S.E. of England, I have fly fished in many places but never in the S.E.

Since setting up home down here in Dorset I spend most of my spare time sea angling on charter boats from Weymouth, although during the summer months I can be seen casting a fly whilst wondering along the trout stream across the meadow from my home.

There are a few of us on here who do fish, perhaps someone will be able to help.

I would prefer to say that I am British rather than European.

Thanks for that. To be honest it does not have to be South East as I I don't mind driving to a good spot so I am open to ideas anywhere within reason. Cheers
