Cooking porridge

If you cook porridge in the van like me, with no microwave, I've discovered it's easier if you soak the oats n sultanas (or whatever) in the milk (or whatever!) in the pan the night before.

Next morning it's just a case of bringing it to the boil and that's it!

No more loadsa steam, and no more burnt pot! The pot is also a lot easier to clean.

How did I not know this years ago?!

Id say also to stand it in the warmest place Jean.
We used to do our porrige like that when we had an Aga, just left the pot standing on the top all night, soon came to the boil in the morning.
