101 Uses for the Humble Ikea bag

I've just been searching MHF archives for something and see that it is exactly 9 years since Russell and I started our 101 Uses for the Humble Bucket thread.

This morning I re-discovered my stash of Ikea bags so, ladies and gentlemen, I give you a thread on:

101 Uses for the Humble Ikea bag.

1. ( Pretty tame...) Packing stuff to go out to the van.

Can you link to the old thread so we can all cheat fairly?

5. You can grow potatoes in them and earth up by simply adding more soil/compost.

6. good for collecting weeds when you cannot avoid going out to do the weeding.....

7. good for collecting fruit from trees when harvesting e.g. apples, but cherries get squashed (from experience),

8. can carry straw from a bale to the chicken house to top up their nesting box,

9. storage of bulky clothing, secured by tying the long handles together,

10. can put under spout for garden shredder when you cannot use the original one 'cos it's full of holes

Thinking of; Mavis, Ray, Sandra and Albert at this time.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

I think this was the first post where I mentioned the humble bucket.

https://forums.motorhomefacts.com/21-...ns-newbie.html

Russ then took it up with threads on 101 uses:

Open collapsible plastic crate, line with Ikea bag, half fill with water and insert dirty dog or small hot child - not at the same time or in that order.

Another (non) use: forgetting to take it with you when you go to Ikea so you buy another one !
