Collapsable buckets
You can get them from pounshops if you keep an eye open and some of them come with a sponge as well
Great for giving the van a quick wash over when it gets dirty on long trips and many other uses and take up hardley any space and are very strong.
Keep on in the gas locker

Carry a spare gas regulator for your van especially if going abroad
£30-40 quid now or 200euros if it goes on holiday
You can secure it with cable ties till you get home. as long as you have the spanners to take the nuts off.

Thank you all - this is a brilliant thread

I am new to motor homing and I had no idea what a learning curve it is.

Well, in honesty I still don't, because we have only used ours three times and on every occasion there has been a new problem to overcome (or one from the last outing revisited) So thank you all because every little bit of advice is so helpful.

When parked up in winter storage, buy a battery operated mouse deterrent off the internet to put under your couches/ bedding area or dried dog food cupboard. This will stop the presky blighters from camping in your best walking boots and eating their way through your new memory mattresses......
