Depends how and when you use it graham

Come to think about it we have only used ours a few times, never on a campsite, mostly when parked alone to run the washing machine , which we no longer carry

Still I like the idea that it's there for emergencies, it would run the aircon when wildcamping if it ever got too hot

Or charge up a flat battery

If the genny is built-in, with electric start, how would it be started if the battery was flat? Do they have a pull-cord as well? Just wondering.

I'm daft and proud of it.

No idea tuggy

But we have two leisure batteries and the van battery

I guess if they all go completely flat we are knackered

I'll ask Albert when he gets back

Scrap charging the batteries

Albert says we couldn't

So it's back to the solar panels to keep them topped up

But it's nice to press a button and have no fumes as the generator runs on gas

Just need refillable bottles or an under slung gas tank

We use it rarely, wasn't one of our most economical buys or even "must haves "

We had an underslung genny when full timing, a great piece of kit, but then again we were staying on a £5 a night CL, so saved a bloody fortune.

So you didn't need elec Coppo ?

We are wimps and always take the option of electric when available , why I don't know , mostly we don't need it, the batteries are full , although I like a fan at night and during the day we run the endless breeze in the garage to cool the hound when he is in there

I remember you getting the genny

I remember you and Caroline

Yes never had EHU Sandra, £3 a night and £5 night small sites, we had a flat engine battery once but you could not start the genny and then the engine, well you could but you would then require a new Hymer electroblok and chargers(There was 2 battery chargers on the S Class)
