Unhappy Stolen Pilote G622

Our Pilote G622 Class A motorhome was stolen last week from Edinburgh.

This is quite a rare model and there are not many about. The registration Plate is S27 BUS but this has probably been changed by now. If anyone is offered one of these to buy or sees one for sale please let me know.
Also, if anyone has any ideas on how we might go about tracing the van we would love to know as the police have been a little pedestrian.

Are there any marks that would set it apart from others. We have heard that some of those stolen go across to Ireland, what was the time scale between it being stolen and it being noticed it was gone.the time scale would give a clue as to where it might have gone to be altered and new paperwork.Either as I said or across north sea to Belgium or Netherland.

Don't be silly all the time ask your question.

I'm curious about the method of theft if you are able to advise. This might help others prevent such theft.

More description would help such as

Base vehicle

Garage - 1/2 doors?

Any other extras?

Even if items have been removed evidence of filed fixing holes might be visible, even under a respray.
