I kept away from your hyperlink, but I've checked my iCampsites USB Edition database as purchased from OurDoorBits.
It still contains 9465 campsites, although when I logged in with my old ODB password it told me there have been no new updates since 6th February 2015.
I can still find sites using "Search by Type" or "Filter" but not when using the "Map" option.
Sorry I may have not made myself clear, the point was that the 'compass' design on the USB
campsite database fob was exactly the same as on the safari internet search engine. Pretty pointless really but they did use it for the design of the fob. I felt it was a waste of money!! Those who had one will know what I am referring too..
My USB one still works and still updates - although the number of updates has dropped markedly....
Updating was always a bit hit or miss as you had to manually change the day of entry for some reason..... there is a screen where you have to enter and OLD date, in place of the current one as otherwise it checks for updates today - and funnily enough, that is usually zero....
No idea about the artwork - it really never worried me and the bulky nature of the rubber case was a PITA as far as I am concerned.
One of the problems that Nuke never managed to resolve was that Windoze machines machines were generally more successful with this App than MacBooks. Mine's a MacBook.

I transferred the data to my MacBook hard drive when I first bought it. As long as I enter my old MHF (OutDoorBits) password it works well enough. It's the mapping that fails totally. Still, with over 9000 campsites entered by our members (people I learned to trust) and reviews from returning members, it's too useful an application to ignore and bin. For me.......... :grin2:
I certainly agree that remembering to change the date, and finding where it was hidden in order to do so was a complete nuisance.
PS: For interest, I set the date to a month before 6th February 2015 (my previous successful update with new sites) and the App found 7 more sites. Goodness knows where they came from.
Not all the 9000 odd sites were from members, Nuke bought a load just before he launched Icampsites, I remember that some members (me included) thought this was a backward step.
