Sumvision 12v Mini Computer

Been toying with the idea of buying a new laptop or a Raspberry Pi 3 for motorhome and I saw this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sumvision-C...%2Bpc%2B2&th=1

http://www.sumvision.com/product/Cyc...ndows-PC2-hdd/

Can use your bluetooth keyboard and mouse, plugs into your tv hdmi connection, plug in your usb hard drive, and it's powered by your 12 volt supply (maybe)?

Looks perfect. Any thoughts?

Not criticising but sometimes I wonder why?
These minis start at about £150 and up. Then theres everything else needed to use it. In the end your about the same outlay as a modest laptop.

Be interested to hear more pros and cons.
My 10" Netbook I find a pain and always prefer my desktop with 'normal' sized peripherals. I even take a 24" all in one away with us. Now looking at a 27".

Ray.

The FSA formerly SIB & PIA licensed a twice convicted fraudster to handle our life“s savings. Guess what? He robbed us of £750,000. So they changed their name again to the FCA.

Might be ok for a bit of surfing or streaming but no good if you want to load and run lots of applications.

I would wonder how hot it will get as well. Very small box. Would always be a laptop with loads of storage for me and as good battery life as possible but my needs may be different to yours. Ive always tended to go for as much Ram as possible as well. Having said that I have an ancient Core 2 Duo PC in the corner with just 2gb of RAM and its running Windows 10 perfectly but its only used for recording and editing Music. Price isnt bad though. I sometimes install little mini PC's like that on customer sites as a gateway into their networks for doing admin. Not seen one that cheap before. Had some Sumvision Speakers before and they were good quality until I broke them.

I can break anything Ray, doesnt matter how expensive it is. The only two possessions that seem to be bullet proof are my two hundred year old Golf and my ageing iPhone. Ive even blown up my guitar tonight which will be good news to everyone.
