Moovit

I was intending writing a glowing review of this app which has been incredibly useful on my city explorations. You can see your journey on the train or metro (and presumably bus too) counting down the stops and warning you where to get off.

It was particularly useful this morning taking the train from Sao Romao to central Porto as the signs with station names seem to be a well kept secret.

However, on the way home tonight it obviously didn't know there was an extra stop on the route. It told me to get off and I didn't see the station sign (Leandro) till the train had gone.

And while there are plenty trains passing, none is stopping here for another hour...

Ah well, at least it's not raining! So glad I went to the loo before getting the train as there's absolutely nothing here!

But yes, I'd still recommend the app. I'd just be a little more careful next time.

Would it help in Lisbon Jean?
I was planning on staying just outside to the west of Lisbon and either bus or train into the city.

Ray.

I'm sure it would Ray. I've just looked at it and can't see how to plan for a different city. Maybe it's possible but I can't see it.

I just know it picks up where you are - as in "I see you're no longer in Madrid - do you want to use Moovit in Porto?"

As I say, 99% excellent!
