To be honest Jan, I thought I'd never bother with a smartphone, and simply continue with my old 2G for texts and phone calls. Four years ago we moved to a thickly wooded, steep area and it became harder to obtain a decent signal, sometimes receiving a text the day after it was sent!

My wife had no such problem with her 4G device, and so I went with the flow. Having got it, I find it works rather well and I must accept that I should have changed sooner.

Additionally, I don't like having something and not knowing how it works, and so I'll keep on beavering away until it's sorted. Yes, I prefer the whacking great screen of a laptop, but that doesn't fit into my pocket!

It's sorted and all thanks to you, Kev.

It was a hidden menu option as suspected.

I clicked "Exit Enhanced Mobile View" which to me suggests I was reverting to an Inferior browser. Not so, it took me to a previously hidden option, where one of the choices was "Full Site".

I clicked that, and suddenly I was looking at the MHF website with full bells and whistles.

I'm delighted you've decided to stay here....... Thank you.

No worries John, happy to help someone to repay all the help I've had on here over the last 9 years.

The wording on the page does not help in the least, glad you're all sorted.

I have the same problem on a Samsung tablet but no matter how many times I click the Full Version button I stay with the poor and, it seems, UNenhanced mobile version.

I only wish I could help you Jean, but I don't have a tablet.

In my case, with my mobile, I did the opposite and exited the enhanced version. That lead me to a previously hidden option as described in my earlier post. That hidden page gave me the choice I needed.

Strangely, about a couple of days later I was asked to revert to the enhanced option, which I ignored and deleted as I bet it would have undone the previous good work.

Now John, you can make as many spelling mistakes as others using 'smart' appliances to post on here. You can always tell.

Tablets and phones should only really differ in screen size on Android, MHF should appear the same, with all the same twiddly bits, can't speak for fruit based devices.
