Truma C3402 with Electric element

I thought I would pass on a problem I had and fixed on my Truma C3402 boiler.

My boiler has the optional 240 volt electric heating element which stopped working, I searched YouTube and found a video of a chap repairing his ( thermal fuse gone),

So I thought with this knowledge I would remove my mine and check it out.

I removed the element collar and tested the thermal fuse and this was ok, I checked for continuity of the element and that was good until I checked past the thermal switch, this was permanently open circuit, I sourced a replacement at 1.50 plus postage

Refitted collar and now we have hot water again when on ehu.

This is a simple job which any DIY person could do.
