Hymer 1981 classic s550

Hi
nice to be here, i wander if anyone can help.
i bought this lovely hymer 9nly to find cables under the sink in bathroom were disconnected and most the plumb8ng pipes im struggl8ng to find out what goes where to connect it all back up amd start showering etc, iv had to get a new water tank also and not sure if the pump will have to go close to the water tank.or not?

Hi Shane and welcome to the forum.

A picture of the problem pipes and connections might help.

The pump should sit IN the water tank, on the bottom so it doesn't run dry.

It's very strange that water tank and piping etc was missing - did you buy it from a dealer?

I think mine is a bit younger than yours, but pipes under sink: hot and cold pipes are jubilee clip fittings;red might be hot ! Pipe to pullout shower hose is a screw fitting with washer !

Wires. Only two; the tap when switched on completes circuit to run the water pump. You should have two wires from tap and two from the floor somewhere, just reconnect them. They connect 12V DC so no real worries which way round they are. Follow the colours. If there are no wires from the tap, then find another tap.

Black is positive 12V in old Hymers ! If you don't have much pressure from the pump.......swap the pump wires round . No harm done.
