Having caught the drain bug on our cold water tank while cresting a bump I need to remove the tank for repair.
While under there I can see the cold tank could easily be raised 2 inches higher. Likewise the rear grey waste tank could be a few inches higher.
It's a Swift lifestyle 590RS
Anyone think of any issues with that? I can't see why they have installed them hanging as low as they are?
I guess it lowers the centre of gravity while driving?

Fresh tank no problem I assume.
Waste tank with the same waste connection..... the waste pipe would/may stay full of water which may congeal if not flushed every so often?

PS. They probably only have one set of hangers for different models!

Ted.
I try and state simple facts in a nice way.

The waste tank has 2 drop pipes from the habitation that are vertical and about 18" long and then turn 90 degrees then into the waste tank. Plan to cut these and shorten them.
The waste drain is directly on the side of the tank so will just go up with the tank so draining will be easier as I will gain additional drop (currently the drain is only 8 inches or so from the ground.
