Alzingen's "Bon Accueil" is a lovely small site, and can fill up quickly.

Should that happen, then I can recommend Camping Kockelscheuer which is less than 5 miles away in lovely woodland. It's a large site, rarely fills up, and there is a sports centre next door.

Our (my) motivation to visit Luxembourg City this summer was passing through it on way to skiing some 20 years ago and always wanted to see it properly.

Architecturaly and historicaly it is interesting and 'pretty' but for atmosphere I found it as dull as Jean Claude Juncker - there was no square or cafe where I wanted to spend an hour.

If you haven't booked a pitch make sure you arrive at the site late morning. It's a VERY popular stop over point for the Dutch and fills up quickly (and they shut for lunch)

I VERY nearly missed out in June, the receptionist squeezed me in on a "non" pitch. You have been warned.

P.s. It's a cracking site. There is a brilliant traffic free level cycle path into the city from it. Bus stop outside, fuel station (cheap) just up the road. No downsides.
