International Caravan & Motorhome 2010

Have you noticed that there are no senior citizen concesssions at the NEC show in October
AND, the price is now £19.95!!! with a £5 discount if you book early
I think last year I got in for £11.
What is the justification for a 30% plus hike in the admission price?
Cheers

I think there's been a discussion on this before. No justification at all for the price hike. I know of about 10 people who have said they're not going due to the price- plus me and wife.

Some on here too.

Some interesting percentage figures regarding visitor requirements here

We used to attend this show nearly every year just to have a look at what's new and pick up the odd accessory if required - shan't be going this year though - not at those extortionate prices!!

Regards

Chris

We thought about going, but instead we are going to save up our pennies and visit Düsseldorf Caravan Salon next August (cant go this year unfortunately!!!!).

MHF going to arrange a Rally / Meet at next years Salon? If so, count us in!!! :P :P

Silly money; and it costs a fortune to use the CC's campsite facility.

Shan't bother this year - as much as it's nice to go & see the latest models, and it would be lovely to be able to specify my own extras & colours etc to have a brand new 'van, I can't bring myself to consider spend multiple thousands only to see it whittled away by about 50% in depreciation in a couple of years .

As far as I know, the only motorhoming Oxford United supporter in Felpham.

I don't feed trolls!

Got free tickets through subscribing to Practical Motorhome so will be going. Otherwise no way at that price.

Well, I just had a nice surprise and got a free ticket through the post from P&O ferries, so I'll probably go now - guessing I would still have bought a ticket as it's pretty close to home, but happy to spend the £20 on something nice while I'm there - probably a sandwich

No competition - simply took out a subscription for a minimum of 6 months paying by direct debit. It was an offer that they had in their August edition, I think it was. Of course, they hope that you will continue with your direct debit but if I remember, then I must cancel after 8 or 9 months and resubscribe taking advantage of next year's offer. I guess if they are smart then they will see that I have been a previous subscriber and not give me any more joining gifts!
