MHF insurance - any claimants?

Hi,

The MHF insurance looks good value but have any of you claimed against the policy and, if so, was that a good* experience of not?

Rgds
CD

* obviously not 'good' being in the position of having to make a claim(!) but was the claim handled fairly and efficiently?

Touch wood we have not yet had to use ours with the motorhome. But having just returned from France spoke to three different fellow motor homers who enjoyed telling of their breakdown experiences on former trips abroad. Two were with Caravan Club and the third with Comfort. All were very complimentary about the services received.
You will no doubt have lots of replies now.

I recommended friends to try MHF insurance for a quote and as a lot of members have found it was a competitive quote so they bought it

Boy they wish now that they hadn't bothered - they are currently in dispute with MHF/Comfort who are worming out of paying a very valid claim

Has anyone else experience of claiming on their MHF policy ?

I haven't had any experience of claiming (thankfully) but I thought the policy was underwritten by Aviva not Comfort?

No haven't needed to claim yet

But will watch with interest

I also thought it was with aviva

Comfort was a bit more expensive

If I've understood this correctly :-

The policy is with Aviva & Comfort are the brokers

(they took out the MHF policy via this website)

It could well be that Comfort are involved.

Both online sites are almost identical and both wanted about £200 more than other Insurers in my case.

I was with Comfort and changed to MHF this year because MHF were £50 cheaper, despite me having a £3000 accident claim with Comfort last year.
Aviva is the insurance company and Comfort the insurance brokers. Comfort handled my accident claim impeccably.

Send a message via MSN to nukeadmin
just to 100% clarify

Aviva are the underwriters
Victor Millwell Insurance are the broker who handles our policy

Comfort are an entirely different company although share many facets they are not linked to MHF policy
