Deathly Silence from MHF Insurance

My MH policy expires on 26 August. To date I have received no renewal reminder. I emailed them 3 days ago - no acknowledgement, no reply.

I'm in France with my expensive 02mobile so I don't want to phone.

I know from previous experience they are not great with emails.

Anyone else having communications issues with them?

My own experience was that the women who run their office tend to be a bit "dippy" and I could always hear them chatting quite loudly and laughing in the background whenever I phoned. They messed up my refund more than once when I gave up the motorhome and cancelled the insurance. It took 3 goes to get it done ..... 7 weeks later! The only email they seem to respond to is a response to one of their emails.

If I had continued to run the van, I was prepared to go elsewhere and not have the hassle.

No longer motorhoming due to illness, but always prepared to help by sharing any experience I may have.

Hi Viv, have been dealing with MH Facts insurance just this week via telephone and e mail. Found service first class and very professional, no problems.

Regards

I deal with Comfort, effectively the same outfit as MHF insurance, and I have always found their service to be impeccable both on the 'phone and by e-mail.

are you sure they have the e-mail address that you are using at present? I have found that the renewal documents are sent out within good time before the date.

Well the paperwork might be lying on the floor below the postbox in the house but no-one's been home for more than 2 months.

I emailed insurance[email protected]. Please would someone be kind enough to look at their docs and check this for me. Mine are in the van and are a year old in any case.

Thank you.

We changed to comfort this year

Can't remember why though

The cost was similar either way

Some thing must have annoyed us

I doubt the paperwork is lying anywhere

We requested paperwork rather than a printable download

It never arrived

My MHF policy should renew August 28th and, as yet, I have heard nothing.

It's usual for renewal notices to be sent out 14 days prior to renewal date.
I have dealt with MHF for the last 2 years, excellent service both times.

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, itís in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with
