Naturists

I was grateful to have the ethos of Wildcamping and Fultiming explained to me on here; would anyone care to enlighten me about what being a Naturist is all about . There seems to be hundreds of old wrinkles on here unashamed to shed their clothes - what's the draw?

Ive shed mine to swim in tarns on high lakeland fells or in lakes and in the sea

The draw for me would be the fantastic liberating feeling of complete freedom in the water

Not sure Id have the confidence now but I wish I would have

Like Aldra says the freedom and also if you are at the beach no sand caught in the undies
Life is so caught up with people worrying what others think about how you look, as a naturist l pretty much dont give a damm clothed or unclothed l am me like it or lump it, l am fug ugly with or without clothes

Brian l love you for eternity you are my rock and my life there will never be anyone like you or who could take your place.

Yeah a dip in the sea I can understand but what about meets where people go about their normal business naked, seemingly without embarrassment or judgmental looks at each other. My own conditioning over the years tells me that if I am naked I am either going to bathe sleep or have sex; I am a great believer in 'When in Rome....' but don't think I could be a Roman in this case.

For me, it is the all over tan! Hate white bits. Also, when I wear shorts or Speedos etc, I burn really badly where the trunks meet flesh, but naked, I do not burn!

Also when swimming it is just a lovely feeling.

It was a tricky thing to do the first time, but now it's just pants off and sun oil on!

Last year we nearly went to a site where sister / brother in law were.
We didn`t realise it was a naturist site.
I would not wish to see my sister in law naked or even wish to inflict Lady p`s creamy curves on my brother in law.
They had been on the site for two weeks and were disappointed that they had to wear clothes to keep warm. Amatures
I occasionally sit naked in my garden on a nice warm day. But I do not get any kicks out of it.
Lots of flowers = lots of bees.

Each to their own. I feel liberated in a full set of leathers hurtling around a race track on me bike.

'each to their own' and 'it takes all sorts' are phrases that frequent these forums a lot, but I find that in the ensuing discussions some of the myths and prejudices of the differences are diminished which can't be a bad thing.
We do have some things in common besides the MH though, I see Russell was/is a seaman and like me will have seen /done things which in keeping with the code will 'stay at sea'.
Dave P likes fast bikes, only thing I was ever really good at, so understand the liberating feeling. Perhaps these two have still got youthful bodies and are proud to show them off.
Naked liberating? more like vulnerable and inhibited, no, I'm not getting it, perhaps a bridge too far for me to comprehend.

You wouldn't really want to mix naturism with trackdays on a bike would you?

Might make you ride veeeeeery carefully.

I'd imagine that when on the beach not getting the sand in your shorts or wet swimming gear irritating those delicate parts of your body would be a plus :P

Find the freedom and equality of having no clothes on great. Difficult to be materialistic with no clothes on, no where to put a designer label!
