Holiday in Croatia

We are thinking about travelling to Croatia in June. Would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction (pardon the pun) of recommended Naturist campsites and locations in the countries on route.
Also anything else of interest such as tolls and culture changes would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Focusgirl - I guess it rather depends which route you take.

We have driven to Croatia through Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, and Austria.

Belgium: you could try the Athena naturist site near Walmes:
http://www.naturisme-athena.org/inde...=6663&set_la=2 (site is in French)

Luxembourg: you could try Camping De Reenert at Heiderscheid: http://www.reenert.lu/index.php?p=infrastruktur&l=en

or Camping Bleesbruck at Diekirch, which is a 4-star textile site that has a screened naturist section with 30 pitches: http://www.camping-bleesbruck.lu/en/Naturists/

Germany: there's a big list of sites that are fully or partly naturist on the ACSI site: http://www.eurocampings.co.uk/en/eur...5Bdeelnat%5D=1

Austria: likewise http://www.eurocampings.co.uk/en/eur...Bdeelnat%5D=on

Croatia: and again another list of fully or partly naturist sites: http://www.eurocampings.co.uk/en/eur...Bdeelnat%5D=on

We enjoyed the island of Krk - no ferry required, because there's a bridge! Three good naturist sites on the island, one close to the historic town of Krk (Camping Politin). More info about the three sites on Krk island here: https://www.motorhomefacts.com/ftopic-96027-40.html

Thanks Mike,

As usual you can be relied upon to come up with some very useful info.

Cheers, Val.

Val

I should really have included Slovenia in the list of countries you might pass through.

Near the capital Ljubljana (15km to the north-west of), Camp Smlednik at Dragocajna - http://en.dm-campsmlednik.si/ - has part of the site reserved for naturists.

And to the east of the country, Kamp Soncni gaj, which is part of the Terme Banovci at Maribor - http://www.ntz-nta.si/en/content.asp?id=4108 - has a large naturist section. According to the website, "The health resort's SonĨni gaj ("Sunny Grove") campground offers 130 regular camping places and 70 camping places for nudists. This nudist camp has a long history, as it was the first such camp in Europe set up beside a thermal spring. Separate from the regular campground, it has its own showers, washrooms, lockers, and a circular, 15-meter diameter swimming pool filled with thermal spring water."

Finally, I ought to have mentioned some of the best naturist facilities in Europe, 36 km north-west of Munich (next to the airport), at Therme Erding - http://www.therme-erding.de/ It is a huge textile leisure centre, but the Sauna Paradise is dedicated to nude relaxation and pampering. With a host of indoor and outdoor pools to be enjoyed as nature intended, it's much more than simply a sauna. There are three different themes within the bare area: Roman, Finnish and Tropical.
